Tanamir Shadowdweller did not know a happy childhood. His elven mother died at childbirth and his father was killed by his elven uncle, after hearing what had happened. Somehow Tanamir ended up in the streets of Baldur's Gate, where he tried to survive with his wits and inherited elven grace.
He was recruited to a local sect of the Shadow Thieves, but they soon found his skills lacking for anything else than searching for traps with his keen senses and disabling them. Fortunately a passing cleric of Mask took notice of his wisdom and interest in books and otherworldly matters and took him as an apprentice.
While working for the church of Mask and aiding the Shadow Thieves in many occasions he gained some valuable items and rose in rank. Some say that he lost his left eye, while training how to fight unseen enemies. Others say it was a sacrifice to gain the skill, as he for some reason is not very good at concentrating to listen or spot for movement in his surroundings.
Lately he gained a mission to infiltrate Waterdeep and explore the possibilities of using the famous Undermountain as a safe smuggling route to the city, as it has been closed to the guild's members for a while. Gaining riches for his deity and himself in the process is a nice bonus to the job. |
